October is here!

Wow! October is here and it is hard to believe that a year has gone since we were patiently waiting for our little one to arrive. My due date was October 4th, but there were hopes that our little one would arrive early. When October arrived, it seemed unreal that it had been 9 months since we had found out we were expecting! People always say that time flies, but now I can say that I really do feel that way. With Hadley's first birthday just around the corner, I look back and it is hard to believe that it was almost a year ago today that we were anxiously waiting to find out if our little bundle was a boy or a girl. On October 2nd, 2011 I went to the Down Syndrome Connection Buddy Walk and was unable to walk with everyone because I was having contractions. Yet, my due date came and went and we were still waiting. I even went to cheer on the A's on the evening of my due date! It was almost midnight on October 7th when I finally said we needed to go to the hospital and after arriving a little after midnight we were told we could walk the halls or go home. We decided to go home, but not 24 hours later we were heading back and arrived a little after midnight again. They admitted me because there was not much fluid around the baby and we knew it would not be long until Baby A was here. This day seems like it was not that long ago, yet it has almost been a year since our little one arrived and now I am anxiously preparing to celebrate her 1st birthday!!!! It has been an exciting year of firsts and has definitley gone by way too fast. My baby girl is growing fast and I can still remember the day she arrived like it was just yesterday. I love you Hadley! You amaze me everyday and I am so excited for you to celebrate your FIRST birthday with everyone!
